Neal Rohrs

Neal Rohrs

Neal is a financial advisor and founder of our great company. He has spent over 30 years in the financial business. He has watched it change from paper documentation with in person meetings to docusign and virtual meetings (much to his chagrin). The one thing that has never changed was how Neal treated the families he is lucky enough to work with. Neal comes from humble roots in Hicksville, Ohio (yes, that is the actual name). He was brought up to have a strong appreciation for small town work ethic and respect for those around you. He is a guy who walks into a restaurant and it takes him 30 minutes to get to his table because he has to say hi to everyone he knows.

He has been married to his lovely wife, Jeana, since 1981. They have two grown sons: A.J. (Rebecca) and Luke (Marybeth) and five wonderful grandchildren. Neal is a 1983 graduate of Ohio Northern University and a former Distinguished President of the Charlotte Kiwanis Club. Neal is currently a member of Locals in Business. He enjoys hunting, golfing, and spending time with his family.

Jeana Rohrs

Jeana Rohrs

Jeana has been our Administrative Assistant since 2013. Prior to working for Preferred, Jeana had distinguished careers as a teacher and advertising manager. This experience gives her unique insight into our business and makes her an invaluable asset.

She is a graduate of Ohio Northern University and has a Master of Education degree from Michigan State University. She enjoys spending time with family, reading, and keep Neal in order. She also holds the title of "Fittest Person at Preferred Wealth Management" as evidenced by her CrossFit skills.

Joe Wilson<br/>

Joe Wilson

Joe is a registered financial advisor with a focus on comprehensive financial planning for those nearing or in retirement.

He grew up between Charlotte and Olivet in a typical middle class family (little did he know, he lived only a couple miles away from Neal and Jeana). His frugal parents taught him the principles of avoiding debt and minimizing unnecessary expenses. A childhood memory of his first bike speaks to this . Rather than just buying a bike, his parents made a deal with him. He would take his allowance each week to the bike shop and they would match his contribution. They did this for a few months until he had paid for his new red Schwinn bike. In his mind, education starts early when it comes to money management.

He graduated from the Broad College of Business at Michigan State University and started his career in the corporate world. He began investing with his first paycheck and proceeded to make just about every mistake you can make. He was lucky to learn from all of them quickly and was able to find a couple mentors along the way. Due to his disciplined investing, he was well on his path to an early retirement when he started helping folks with their own investment plans and educating them on how it all works. He enjoyed the role as an educator and guide so much he decided to make it his career. He had found his calling.

Joe and Neal crossed paths through a mutual friend and immediately struck up a friendship. They shared core values including family, giving back to their communities, and putting other's interests above their own. They were both lucky enough to have strong, supportive spouses who brought out the best versions of themselves. it was refreshing to find another advisor who believes in the independent model. As they got to know one another, they started to consider the possibility of working with one another. It Neal's words, "it just made sense."

Their blend of old and new school approaches created a unique blend of skills that allow them to provide umatched service to those they work with. Our goal is to introduce more people in our communities to this client-centered style of financial planning that provides comprehensive plans at affordable prices.
